Since 2001, the Association “Lesbian Wildlife Hospital” (tel: 22530-32006), founded in 1997 in Lesbos, has its head office in Agia Paraskevi.
The aim of the Association is to protect the fauna and the environment in general.
An important work is being carried out by treating wounded wild birds and animals, coming mainly from the wetland biotopes nearby as well as from the whole island of Lesbos, all of which are liberated after their treatment.
